Where reception gets weak

On Koh Phangan the west-coast beaches are well covered - the northeast coast and jungle interior bounce between 3G and nothing
Koh Tao has 4G at Sairee and Mae Haad; the eastern bays (Shark Bay, Tanote) drop to 3G
On inter-island ferries the signal disappears 2-3 km offshore and returns on approach - completely normal
National parks (Khao Sok) have signal at the entrances and hubs - not deep in the jungle
